Brady Street

Spanning nine blocks from the Milwaukee River to Lake Michigan, Brady Street is found in the lower east side of Milwaukee, featuring excellent shopping, boutiques, and dining. This historic street dates back to 1840, with the majority of buildings along Brady Street being built from 1860 to 1930.

Brady Street, also known as "Milwaukee's Little Italy", is still home to one of the original Pabst Beer taverns, Regano's Roman Coin, built in 1890. This historical "tied house" tavern was designed by the same architect that designed the Pabst Theater.

Bryant's Cocktail Lounge

Established in 1938, Bryant's is known as "Milwaukee’s Oldest Cocktail Lounge"  – and is one of many historic sites in the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Bryant's is open Monday through Saturday in Milwaukee's Historic Mitchell Street Neighborhood.

General Mitchell International Airport

A public, county-owned and joint civil-military airpark, MKE is the largest airport in Wisconsin. Mitchell International covers 2,180 acres, and supports major airlines such as American, Delta, Frontier, United, US Airways, and Southwest – the largest carrier airlines at MKE.

Historic Pabst Brewery

Established in 1844, Historic Pabst Brewery was once the site where world-famous Pabst Blue Ribbon beer was brewered. Today, the Milwaukee landmark is a museum, pub, and tourism staple for visitors of the Brew City.

After closing its doors in 1997, the brewery was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. Specific portions of the brewery complex have been renovated for use by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and other local businesses.

Miller Park

Opened in 2001, Miller Park is located in downtown Milwaukee and primarily serves as the home ballpark to the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball.

The Brew Crew play home games from April to October at Miller Park, competing against division rivals the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs.

The ballpark is known for its retractable roof, and on-site attractions like the AirTran Airways Landing Zone and the Harley-Davison Deck.

The ballpark hosts large Milwaukee events as well, including concerts, movie premieres, and other sporting events.

Also known as MAM, the museum was established in 1882 – originally housed in the first art gallery of Milwaukee.

Today, the Milwaukee Art Museum encompasses more than 35,000 works of art, and includes three structures – the War Memorial Center, the Kahler Building, and the Quadracci Pavilion.

The four-story MAM features works of art from the 15th to 20th century European art, and 17th to 20th century American art.

Visitors may reach MAM from downtown Milwaukee by way of the Reiman Bridge.

Also known as the Mitchell Park Domes – or simply “The Domes” – the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory is a 60-acre park set in southern Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Run by the Milwaukee County Park System, the conservatory is known for its three iconic domes.

The Mitchell Park Domes are divided into three distinct environments: the Show Dome, the Tropical Dome, and the Arid Dome.

The Show Dome acts as a venue for four seasonal and holiday shows, and features the large, indoor Garden Railroad.

The Tropical Dome houses over 1,000 plant species – including a large kapok tree, plus a variety of exotic birds. Arid Dome simulates the Sonoran Desert, the Madagascar, and more.

The Flemish Renaissance Revival style Pabst Mansion in Milwaukee was built in 1892 for Captain Frederick Pabst and his family.

The founder of the Pabst Brewing Company and his family lived in this historic mansion until 1908.

Once the mansion was sold by the Pabst descendants in 1908, the mansion was purchased by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

It remained the residence for five Archbishops, priests and sisters until 1975. It was saved from demolition when Wisconsin Heritages, Inc. bought it for preservation.

Since 1895, the Pabst Theater has been home to wonderful theater productions. Brewer Frederick Pabst had this German Renaissance Revival style theater built to resemble a European opera house.

This beautiful theater, a city landmark building in downtown Milwaukee, is the oldest theater in the theater district.

"The Pabst" remains the fourth-oldest continuously operating theater in America and it was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1991.

This opulent theater features incredible acoustics, two balconies, a proscenium stage, 1,345 seats, and a hydraulic orchestra pit.

Nicknamed the "Big Gig," the annual Summerfest music event is a staple of the Milwaukee metropolitan area's event calendar.

Established in 1968, the festival is held for 11 days from June to July at the 75-acre Henry Maier Festival Park.

Milwaukee Summerfest attendees enjoy over 700 bands across 11 stages emitting everything from “Alternative to Zydeco.”
