Milwaukee Art Museum on Lake Michigan
Hosting over 350,000 annual visitors, the Milwaukee Art Museum is a 341,000-square-foot cultural site set on Lake Michigan in the greater Milwaukee area.
Also known as MAM, the museum was established in 1882 – originally housed in the first art gallery of Milwaukee.
Today, the Milwaukee Art Museum encompasses more than 35,000 works of art, and includes three structures – the War Memorial Center, the Kahler Building, and the Quadracci Pavilion.
The four-story MAM features works of art from the 15th to 20th century European art, and 17th to 20th century American art.
Visitors may reach MAM from downtown Milwaukee by way of the Reiman Bridge.
